Being a Western student, it’s easy to get stuck in the usual spots, but as a foodie, I’m always on the lookout for new restaurants to explore. There are definitely more restaurants on my bucket list (which hopefully I will be able to add before I graduate this year!) but for now, here is a list of some of my favourite restaurant's in London Ontario.
Los Lobos
Los Lobos is the perfect spot if you’re craving a fun and delicious lunch or dinner! Their tasty little tacos and shareable pitchers of margaritas make it a great place to go with friends. I’ve been a few times and definitely plan on going back. Just a heads-up, they don’t take reservations, so if you’re heading there on the weekend, be ready for a bit of a wait. But in my experience, it’s never been too long!
The Tasting Room
I went here on a date with my boyfriend, and we were both pleasantly surprised! He especially loved it. We kicked things off with a wine flight, which was super fun because we tried to guess all the wines after tasting them. For starters, we had the scallops wrapped in bacon (my fave) and the tuna poke tostadas. Then we shared the seafood pasta and the artichoke dip. I’d definitely love to go back and explore more of their apps!
Mythic Grill
I think this might have been the first restaurant I ever went to in London when my mom dropped me off in first year, and it’s become a staple ever since. The cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and authentic food always make for a great experience. I usually go for the mezza platter or the saganaki (the flaming cheese dish — so good!). Definitely a go-to spot!
Sagi of Wortley
This restaurant is a little outside of Richmond Row, so I don’t think a lot of students know about it, but it was recommended to me by a coworker — and wow, was it delicious! It’s an Asian fusion spot with SO many amazing appetizers, noodle dishes, and cocktails. Some standouts for me were the Bulgogi Ribeye Frites, the baked brie, and the dan dan noodles. The vibe inside is super cute, and everyone is so friendly. Definitely a hidden gem! 🍜🍹
David's Bistro
I regrettably don’t have any photos from this dinner because I was with my boyfriend’s family for his grad, but I absolutely loved it here! I had the lemon scallop risotto, which doesn’t seem to be on the menu anymore (they change their menu often), but it was amazing. I’d love to go back and try more dishes. It’s a super cute French spot that’s definitely worth a visit!
Dessert: Haven's Creamery
If you have time for ice cream after dinner, I highly recommend Haven’s Creamery! They always have such unique flavors (I’m obsessed with the Earl Grey 🍦) and you can tell all the ice cream is homemade and packed with flavor. Definitely worth the stop!

I hope to add more to this post soon and plan to do a Brunch section in the future, but that’s it for now! Thanks for reading, frolicking fairies! ✨🧚♀️
Wow great recommendations, thanks!
